The "Port" is known for it's shops, wonderful galleries and superb restaurants.  Spend a perfectly relaxing day meandering through it's shops and galleries.  Mastcove Galleries is twenty-nine years strong, bringing a variety of amazing artists to the area. Jean Briggs is the gallery director and her coffee pot is always on.  Jack shows here when he has time to paint.  Louis Frechette's gallery is terrific.  Abacus Galleries  and Compliments show a wealth of American crafts and American Sailor and Port Clothing will be happy to outfit you in new duds for traveling back home. And for the collectors among us The Emporium and Saxony Imports will attract you.  Lunch at Allisson's while your touring the 'Port.

Then head back to the Inn for a relaxing pre-dinner cocktail on our front porch before heading into our dining room for a wonderful seaside dinner.

Our beaches - Kennebunk Beach, Colony Beach, Gooserocks Beach, Parsons Beach - each wonderful and unique.  Each beach has it's own unique flavor and beauty.  All are perfectly maintained and cared for and in case you've not heard our waters are "Bracing!"

Sign up for a whale watch or scenic cruise or lobstering cruise - our front desk will make your arrangements.  Embark on a schooner with either the Eleanor, a beautiful two masted captained by Captain Rich Woodman or the Pineapple Ketch captained by Captain John Martin.  Two truly beautiful day sailors that promise you a wonderful ride.Tour with sails full of the breeze and the quiet wonder of such a experiance.  Our other guests will wave as you sail by our front door.

Bring your Golf clubs.  There are three nearby courses.

Bring your paints and sketch books - use them anywhere and everywhere.  Paint the rocks in front of the Inn.  You may find Jack painting in one of his favorite niches, as well. It's one of his favorite places to paint.


Swim, sail, golf, lobster, read, walk, shop, eat, buy a painting, make a painting, bike or jog, day trip to Portland or to Portsmouth, go to museums or other Port towns that are within a day trip distance.
